I set up Finario in late 2025 after spending over twenty years working in finance across sports and leisure, recruitment and consultancy, supporting businesses in both the public and private sectors.
Throughout that time, I kept seeing the same thing. Businesses that wanted to grow but were being held back by finance operations that just weren't up to the job. Cashflow was unclear, reporting took too long, and too much relied on manual processes and spreadsheets.
I also saw first hand how often teams pushed back against change, even when it would make their working lives easier. Whether it was adopting better tools or rethinking how things were done, the uncertainty around change was enough to keep people stuck.
